A LOT to catch up on!

I'll start with our trip to California at my parents house.

And the fun begins! The day before our trip I called a shuttle to pick us up at 5:45am and take us to the airport. (Our flight left around 8am or so) We got up and all ready to go. 5:45 comes and goes. It's 6am and no shuttle! GREAT. Jason quickly loads up the truck and we drive ourselves. I called the shuttle service and the lady says we aren't even on the list to be picked up. WHAT?! Oh well. They didn't charge us. Our drive to the airport, which we'd never been to before was exciting. It was FOGGY. So foggy that we couldn't see very far in front of us. But we made it. Whew. We get to the gate (oh, passing through security with two babies, two strollers and our carry-on bags ... That was fun! ha) And wait. Luke makes his way to the window and looks at the plane, which we can barely see even though it's probably only 20 yards away.

Nice and foggy. "PANE! PANE!!" says Luke.

So we get on the plane and get cozy. We taxi out and we wait. We ended up waiting two hours because of fog! Thankfully those two hours went by amazingly fast and the boys behaved beautifully. Because of our delay our flight was rerouted from San Diego to Phoenix. When we got to Phoenix we had 10 minutes before we had to board for Sacramento. Again, another blessing we came into the gate right next to the gate we were leaving from. Jason ran to get us some lunch and made it back just as we had to board. The boys got a bit cranky towards the end of the flight to Sac. but thats to be expected. They don't sleep well on planes. Finally we made it to Sacramento. YIPPEE!!!

That afternoon Luke was playing on a swivel/rocking chair, got off, was a bit off balance, fell, and then rolled into the brick fireplace and cut his head. It wasn't anything serious. We cleaned it up with a paper towel and he was fine. Harrison didn't do anything exciting. My parents have two little birds (now four!). Luke loved pointing at them and saying "Burr!". Oh, something I didn't get on camera, but wish I had, was one evening we had ice cream for dessert. YUM! We put Luke back in the chair and tried having him eat ice cream (he loves ice cream) but he just SCREEEEAAAAMED "NO NO NO NO" at the top of his lungs and didn't even want to touch it. Oh well, more for the rest of us. Speaking of ice cream, I got to go to Leatherbys TWICE. I must go there every time I visit my parents. I always get a Black and Tan. (Vanilla and Almond ice cream with hot fudge sauce, whip cream and nuts) Mmmmmm!

Grandma taught Luke to make funny faces.

My gram.

Grandma and Harrison. "Ahh, Grandma kisses are the best."

Daddy and Luke in the pool. There is a slide in the pool but Luke wouldn't go down it. He likes putting his cars down it though.

The boys with Great Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma has a lot of stuffed animals. Luke liked playing with them all. Especially a little flower that played music. We all REALLY enjoyed that one. HA HA

The boys playing on wooden elephants at Great grandparents house. Harrison wasn't to keen about it but Luke thought it was cool.

My Dad, Mom and us in their living room.

Luke sitting in my old rocking chair watching TV just like I used to.

Papa feeding Harrison -- who would rather play with the spoon than eat the food.

Had a play date with my childhood friend, Janelle.

Genius Luke! Or maybe he's a mad scientist. Either way, we all thought this was VERY funny. (and, there's not a penny in one of the lenses, it's just the way the light hit it)

At the fish hatchery. We couldn't see the fish very well but we still had fun.

Oh No! My husband and son are being eaten by a giant salmon.

Unfortunately our time came to an end at my parents house. Time to drive to Jason's Mom's house in southern California. Two of Jason's best friends (and their families) live near Monterey. We stopped to eat lunch with them.

Everyone eating lunch.

Okay I keep saying out loud how I can't believe how big Harrison has gotten! He's such a big boy now! And so dang adorable! How many teeth does that boy have??
